The Trust’s principal objectives are;
In the early years of the Trust, the main focus was to assist with the essential

new northbound platform at Ribblehead, restoration works at Hellifield station
and the building of a footbridge at
Kirkby Stephen.
In September 1999, the Trust acquired a long-leasehold interest in Ribblehead station, then derelict and in urgent need of attention.
The restoration works were put in hand and completed in 2000.

old booking hall and ticket office, and the creation of a caretakers flat.
Similar restoration projects followed at Horton-in-Ribblesdale in 2002 and Kirkby Stephen in 2004.
